On September 9, 2021, Menke Group Managing Director of ESOP Advisory and Investment Banking Matthew Nels will be speaking at the Great Game of Business Conference in Dallas. His presentation entitled, How Business Owners, Management, and Employees Can Benefit from ESOPs, will explore the range of ownership transition options that business owners might consider, and the characteristics, motivations, and objectives that make each one a good fit for particular circumstances.

Due to the impact of COVID, companies are increasingly focused on seeking ways to reduce corporate taxes, maximize cash preservation and provide competitive employee benefits. Additionally, the growing desire of baby boomer business owners to either retire or reduce their ownership stake while obtaining liquidity has led to a surge in ESOP discussions and transactions.

We will discuss the pros and cons of the ownership transition options available to business owners and management teams and how they align with the objectives of business owners, management and employees. The attendee of this session will also understand the characteristics of the businesses and objectives of the business owner/management team that typically select the different types of ownership transition options.
